Summer is officially here and if you live in the South Fulton area there is literally no reason to be bored this month. From free concerts and food truck festivals to Juneteenth celebrations and storytime at the library, June 2026 has something for everyone whether you have little ones in tow or you are just looking for a good time close to home.
Here is everything happening around us this month. Save this post because you are going to want to come back to it.
South Fulton
The Black Wheels Series Art Exhibit Through June 6 | noon to 5pm Southwest Art Center Theater Gallery, 915 New Hope Rd | Free
If you have not made it to this one yet you still have time. Artist Darrell Jones is celebrating Black car designers in this solo exhibition and it is absolutely worth the visit. Free entry and a beautiful space.

College Park
Juneteenth Parade and Freedom Day Festival June 19 | 10am to 5pm Wyatt Recreation Center | Free
This one has everything. The parade kicks off at 10am and runs until noon, the festival takes over from 1 to 5pm, and there is a concert from 2 to 5pm. A full day of celebration right in College Park.
East Point
Eats and Beats at Main and White Way Every Thursday through October | 6 to 8pm Oz Pizza Courtyard, 2805 Main Street | Free
June dates: June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25
This is the weekly vibe reset you did not know you needed. Grab food from Oz or bring something from a nearby restaurant and enjoy live music in the courtyard. Free to attend and the music changes every week. Check the City of East Point Facebook page for weather updates.

Drag Down South 26 June 13 | Lawn opens 7pm, Main event 8 to 10:30pm City Hall Front Lawn, 2757 East Point Street
Presented by Atlanta Eagle, AHF, and the City of East Point. Food trucks, an artist market, craft beer, cocktails, and an incredible lineup of performers. Bring your lawn chairs. Table reservations available at reservations@atlantaeagle.com.
2026 World Soccer Games Watch Party June 27 | Downtown Commons, 2714 East Point Street
The World Cup is coming and East Point is hosting a watch party at Downtown Commons. Come out, be part of the experience, and celebrate the games right in your own backyard. Follow the City of East Point for more details as the date gets closer.
Union City
Reimagine Fridays Every Friday through June 19 | 6:30 to 9pm Eagles Nest Sports Complex, 6245 Roosevelt Hwy | Free
June dates: June 5, June 12, June 19
Live DJs, signature line dancing, premium food trucks, kickball showdowns, and family friendly games. Union City built this series to give residents a reason to come together every Friday night and honestly it shows. Free entry and a whole vibe.
Juneteenth Celebration plus Taste of SoFu Day June 19 | 6:30 to 10pm Eagles Nest Sports Complex, 6285 Roosevelt Hwy
Food trucks, music, and fun to cap off Juneteenth in style. This one is back by popular demand and runs the same night as Reimagine Fridays so you can make a whole evening out of it.

Hapeville
The Culture’s Field Day June 6 | 10am to 2pm Tom E. Morris Sports Complex, 3415 Claire Dr | Free with RSVP
Fitness meets culture in a field day built for the community by the community. Relay races, kickball, obstacle courses, partner carries, vendors, a live DJ, giveaways, and food trucks. Hosted by Hapeville in partnership with Motion Run Club and Because I Can Run Club. RSVP required to participate in games.

Movies Under the Stars: Finding Nemo June 12 | Activities start 7:30pm, movie at sundown Jess Lucas Y Teen Park | Free
Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Concessions available. Just a classic free outdoor movie night and it is Finding Nemo so bring the kids.

Summer Gallery Crawl June 13 | Hapeville
A crawl through local galleries and creative spaces in Hapeville. Great excuse to explore the art scene and support local artists. Check hapeville.org for locations and timing.
Coffee and Chrome June 13 | Hapeville
Cars, coffee, and community. Coffee and Chrome is a recurring event bringing car enthusiasts and neighbors together. Also returns July 11 and August 8 so put all three on your calendar.
Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration June 19 | 1:30 to 6pm Jess Lucas Park
Live performances, face painting, inflatables, vendors, and a special appearance by Arrested Development. The celebration continues June 20 with a 5K run and walk starting at 8am.
Dreamers of Achievement 5K June 20 | Hapeville
Lace up and run for a cause. The Dreamers of Achievement 5K brings the community together in motion. Check hapeville.org for registration details and start time.
Academy Theatre Events 599 N Central Ave, Hapeville
Sunday Variety Series — June 7 at 8:30pm Tia Rix Swings at Academy Theatre — June 7 at 6:30pm Tam Tunes Concert (live jazz) — June 14 at 8pm Atlanta Radio Theatre Company — June 21 at 8:30pm
