Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants in the Atlanta Area (South Fulton)

If you’ve spent any time on Threads lately, you already know the question comes up constantly: Where can I find a good vegan restaurant in Atlanta? I was a vegetarian for years, and even now I lean heavily plant-based. So I put together this list for everyone in the community who’s been asking.

If you live on the south side of Atlanta, the options near you are actually solid. These 12 restaurants are spread across Fairburn, Union City, College Park, East Point, Hapeville, and Cascade Road. Most are 100% vegan, a few are vegan-friendly. And yes, most of them are Black-owned.

One note: I haven’t personally visited all of these yet, but they’re on my list for this year. This is a fact-based roundup, not a personal review. Go try them and let me know what you think.

Black-Owned First

Unbelievegan — Fairburn, GA

100% Vegan | Dine-In & Takeout

Founded by the Beasley family in 2021, Unbelievegan started as a 10×10 pop-up tent and grew into one of the most talked-about vegan restaurants on Atlanta’s south side. Their Fairburn brick-and-mortar location opened in 2025 and seats up to 50 people, with a full bar and live entertainment on weekends.

The menu is global fusion comfort food: loaded Philly (jackfruit), crabless cakes, soul rolls, salmon-style croquettes, cashew mac ‘n’ cheese, and a Sunday brunch. Owner Donte Beasley has been vegan for over 15 years and the menu reflects that depth.
