About
Deep Roots Farm grows vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers on 53 acres at 17230 Swanson Rd in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The farm also raises chickens as part of its regenerative approach to agriculture. In addition to what grows on site, Deep Roots Farm operates a mobile farmers market truck that brings fresh produce directly into the community. For example, the truck regularly stops at neighborhoods that otherwise have limited access to a full-service grocery store. Meanwhile, the farm also sells at the Dupont Circle Farmers Market every Sunday and at H St NE on Saturdays year-round. As a result, customers across the DC-Maryland area can access the farm’s produce through CSA memberships as well as these regular market stops.
