Costume notes that help
- Check the label for flame resistant.
- Face paint over full masks that block side vision.
- Shorten dragging hems. Wet leaves + long fabric = trips.
- Add tape high and low: shoulders, chest, cuffs, and bag.
Set it up in 2 minutes
- Put two strips of reflective tape on the front and two on the back of the coat. Add a strip on the bag.
- Clip one LED high (hood/shoulder) and one low (bag hem).
- Add an LED slap band over a sleeve.
- Hand the mini torch to the oldest kid; keep a spare in your pocket.
- Walk with younger kids; phones down at crossings.
Optional add-ons for colder nights
- Hi-vis beanie (little kid). → https://amzn.to/4orQpkl
- Hi-vis beanie (big kid). → https://amzn.to/4mZyqQR
