Thanksgiving is over, but let me be honest. We actually put our Christmas tree up Thanksgiving morning because we were ready. 😆 I wanted a calm day, good food, and a lit tree in the background. So here we are. Below I pulled together the tree we use, the ornaments we grabbed this year, and a few extra decorations we are putting up around the house. I also added the Step2 Christmas Tree we bought for Storm last year. He still loves it. And no I do not do Elf on the Shelf, but I did buy a Snoop on the Stoop because it made me laugh instantly.
Goplus 6FT Artificial Christmas Tree

A simple six foot pine tree that is budget friendly and easy to set up. It fills the corner of the room without taking over the entire space. If you have toddlers or pets this is a solid pick because the branches are soft and the shape looks full once everything is fluffed.
Old World Christmas Jolly Pup Glass Ornament

This one looks like a keepsake ornament you pull out every year. The glass details are pretty and the little pup face is adorable. It adds a classic look to the tree and gives that warm mom moment when you are decorating.
Replacement Bulbs for Mini String Lights

If you have older string lights you know bulbs go out at the wrong time. I keep these on hand so I do not have to replace the entire string. Just pop a new one in and keep moving. Great for indoor and outdoor lights.
Decor by Hannah Ornament Set 21ct

A full ornament set in red green and blue. Shatterproof and toddler friendly which matters in my house. These make the tree look finished without having to buy individual pieces. They also come in cute shapes and give that classic Christmas color story.
CG Hunter Holiday 6 Piece Ornament Set

These are fun ornaments with character faces. They give personality to the tree and work well if you like a mix of traditional and playful designs. They are also lightweight which helps when toddlers tug on branches.
Step2 My First Christmas Tree

Link: https://amzn.to/4olsjqM
Storm’s favorite. This is a toddler proof tree that comes with colorful plastic ornaments and a tiny train that circles the base. It gives your toddler their own tree so they stop pulling on yours. Storm played with this nonstop last year so we brought it back out again.
Snoop on the Stoop Plush

Link: https://amzn.to/4ajCQ2m
This made me laugh as soon as I saw it. I do not do Elf on the Shelf so this is my replacement. It sits on the counter and just… exists. That is all it needs to do. Fun little touch for the holiday season.
Cindy Lou Who Plush
Link: https://amzn.to/48mjl6R
A cute plush for anyone who loves the Grinch movies. Soft, bright, and easy to display. You can add it to a shelf or a kid’s room for a simple Christmas touch.
Final Thoughts
This is our holiday setup this year. Simple pieces that make the house feel warm and festive without too much effort. If you want a toddler friendly mix of ornaments and a few fun decor pieces these are all great picks. I will keep updating my list as we add more things to the house.
